David and Ester Yu - ZOE - Thailand

Why ZOE?
  • Need for the gospel in Thailand
  • Human trafficking crisis in this nation
  • ZOE's gospel-centered social justice outreach to the community
  • Opportunities to exercise our gifts and passions through ZOE
The Yus will move to Thailand on September 24, 2011. David will be on full-time staff at ZOE, while Ester will serve on a volunteer basis as time allows, as she'll be caring for Ian (5 years) and Eli (2.5 years).
Pray and partner with the Yus to help ZOE rescue precious children from the atrocities of human trafficking; more importantly, for many to come to know and love Jesus as their Savior and Lord.
You can contact the Yus at yufamilythailand[@]gmail.com and follow them on their blog at http://yufamilythailand.blogspot.com
You can support ZOE and the Yus online by clicking here and selecting "Yu Family" under "Please use my donation for," or mail donations to ZOE at PO Box 221510 Santa Clarita, CA  91322 (payable to ZOE Children's Homes with "Yu Family" in the memo).
Ray and Shelley Kwan - IBC - Japan (2013)

Ray decided that he wanted to become a missionary in 2002 after coming back from his first of what would eventually be eight short term trips to Japan. Shelley grew up in a Japanese American church, taught English in Japan for two years, and has gone on three short term trips of her own to Japan. IBC is planning to send out Ray and Shelley in 2013. The date is contingent upon having raised sufficient funds to cover expenses for the first two years. The five-year plan after the Kwans arrive in Japan will involve two years of language school and integration into a Japanese church and the Japanese culture. Ray and Shelley hope to get involved with a like-minded church and develop the skills to effectively make disciples in Japan.
You can support the Kwans by mailing donations of any amount to IBC at 1254 19th St. Santa Monica, CA 90404 (payable to IBC with "Kwan Family" in the memo field).

Long-term goals: To equip the saints for the work of the ministry and to especially equip men to plant and pastor new churches; To provide quality biblical teaching and materials for Czech churches outside of our local context; Continue to reach the lost with the gospel and see missionaries sent out from the Czech Republic.

Short Term Missions

We are drawn to missions and evangelism by command and committment. Our outreach began with a small but fruitful ministry with Hamadera Bible Church, Inochi-No-Izumi Bible Church and Izumisano Christ Church in Japan where we helped with a VBS program and summer camp. Answers to ernest prayers over the years have allowed us to send teams to Ecuador, Mexico, the Lummi Indian Nation in Washington State and Albania. If you are interested in participating in a short term mission, please contact the church.
